Our research team’s groundbreaking work in precision body measurement technology was featured on Radio Television Hong Kong’s (RTHK) popular program “Hong Kong United” (凝聚香港) on October 14, 2025. Professor Joanne Yip, our research supervisor and Associate Dean of the School of Fashion and Textiles at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, was invited to discuss the innovative technology that is transforming the design and performance of compression garments.

Professor Yip explained that proper-fitting athletic wear is essential for both health benefits and comfort during physical activity.
Our pioneering technology utilizes advanced image recognition algorithms to systematically assess tissue deformation while minimizing motion-related errors, achieving remarkable accuracy with deviations within just 1.15mm under static conditions and 2.36mm during dynamic movement. This exceptional precision enables designers to create compression garments that optimize biomechanical efficacy, improve blood circulation, and provide superior muscle support.
